There she was in a glow
all her own
not knowing the effect she had on me
she approached with a coy smile
but when she left it was my heart
in her pocket
and her face in my dreams
just a brief exchange
of insufficient words
but the lasting sound
of harmony with the universe in her wake
I would settle for a place at her side
at the pain of eternity in uncertainty
to the sorrow of her absence for a moment
while I know there is life in me
and breath for me to sing
cry to the cold night sky
and the stars weep my sorrow
I play my song in solitude
and the words remain unspoken
but for her alone to hear
and the stars to whisper her name
(written here for O)
